So, he sold the game to "a person who used to be a game developer" and he "has no idea if it will receive updates any time soon". Plus, the companies involved didn't made any announcement about the acquisition (so far).
BionicLogic Inc. owns and operates CPMStar, an ad platform that specializes in acquiring and monetizing gamer traffic (src). Tactics Network LLC seems to be a part of BionicLogic Inc.
That... doesn't sound very promising at all. Knowing that an ad company (?) acquired Warmerise, I honestly fear for the worst.
I've been pretty much inactive as a player here for the past weeks. I doubt this will bring me back or renew any hope of Warmerise becoming better in the short term. (And ngl... Max should've sold the game to me.)

Greetings my dear Warmerisers,
I come to you with a heavy heart and a foreboding message that threatens to cast a shadow over our beloved gaming world. Brace yourselves, for the apocalypse is upon us, and its harbinger is none other than the recent acquisition of Warmerise by a Californian advertising company.
In a dystopian twist of fate, our once cherished virtual battleground is now under the sinister influence of profit-driven overlords. This Californian company's insidious agenda extends far beyond mere game development, as whispers in the dark corners of the internet suggest a nefarious plot to harvest our digital lives.
The specter of data theft looms large, my friends. With every shot fired and victory celebrated, our personal information may be siphoned off into the abyss of corporate databases. What was once a haven for gamers now stands as a potential breeding ground for privacy invasion and exploitation.
As of today, Joe "Sleepy" Biden has access to all your data.
This is the end,
Erlaanz
