In relation to the comment you replied to, that would effectively mean Warmerise being displayed as a static website.As the name suggests, that puts it in a read-only mode with no further changes to the back-end, because, well, it's a static website. Unless the web dev (Max) wanted to made some modifications themselves. It's quite off-topic but if and when that happens, the site should be stripped of all its normal functionalties (i.e remove the game, posts on forums being archived and no new posts can be made, only list of last updated player rankings, etc.) Seeing how simple the layout of the forums is, it's very possible to host it on free hostings aimed at static websites.

I honestly don't wanna rain on the parade but please consider making sure every single current weapon is balanced before adding new ones. Weapon balancing is a tough juggling act but it's necessary. There's not a whole lot of folks who play anything else other than the plasma and the default L115A3 for sniping. Other group is the carbine (case in point, the new topic asking to remove it), g36, vector being the holy grail of automatic guns. Everything else stops short at being a novelty weapon. Don't let the new weapons end up like the GA3A or the A12. They are not inherently bad, they are just severely outclassed by the other alternatives.

Good discussion about the shield. Personally  I can count on one hand the amount of times I actually rented the upgraded suit. As for the shield itself, I'm thinking it should both be slightly smaller (so opponents can opt to shoot for exposed limbs such as the feet, which is possible as of now, but difficult) and have a cooldown after absorbing a certain amount of damage. Or go even further, make the shield break completely after, turning it into a dispoable utility for each time you respawn. This post was edited by fshiteup at December 24, 2022 4:04 AM PST
