the new coloring makes it really difficult to read things, especially with high resolutions. The blue on black on the status/clock, for example, is horrible. The red is far from good either.
I would suggest to either make the status display's background lighter (light-gray instead of black) or make the red and blue colors brighter (something like #ff5d5d and #7d7dff).
