  Lagmaster and I encountered a bug on a server of theIsland 2016 today where there was no visual recoil when shot by an enemy. We tested this on both sides and neither of us experienced any change in crosshair placement when shot by each other.

  This appears to be because of update 2.7.1 to the game. There are no patch notes yet, so it may be a bug. Keep any eye on the announcement forum for news when max posts about the update.
  
  Edit: not a bug. This is intended behavior.

  - Removed camera shaking effect when getting hit
  - Improved the accuracy of the directional hit marks when getting hit
