In India, the SSC and baking positions are regarded as top government positions. Every year, lakhs of hopeful candidates show up for both tests. Exams for banking positions are administered by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), State Bank of India, and Reserve Bank of India, whereas exams for central government positions are administered by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), which also administers exams for the Ministry of External Affairs and Indian Audit & Accounts Department under C&AG.
