  • About Me Egyptian spells, also known as Egyptian magical texts, were written in ancient Egypt between the late Old Kingdom and the Greco-Roman period. These spells were intended to be used for a variety of purposes, such as healing, protection, love, and even controlling the weather.

Egyptian spells were often written on papyrus scrolls or inscribed on objects such as amulets, statues, and sarcophagi. They were believed to have the power to communicate with the gods and invoke their aid or protection.

The most famous collection of Egyptian spells is the Book of the Dead, which contains a series of spells and instructions to help guide the deceased through the afterlife. Other important collections of spells include the Coffin Texts and the Pyramid Texts.

It is important to note that while some of the spells may seem fantastical to modern readers, they held significant religious and cultural significance to the ancient Egyptians and were taken very seriously.
