I wrote this years ago - kind of taking 'fart jokes' to another level. LOL

Delightful repast, oh how wondrous thou were.
Now thy essence moves within,
Becoming the decaying matter which,
Is but a shadow of thy former self.
Gone is the flavor, the aroma, the need
Of that which was.
In its place moves a mass of detritus,
On its meandering way through a winding tunnel.
Pushing before it a pocket of air,
Trapped as it was within the cavernous tube.
Slowly, with infinite patience,
Such air, replete with vile corruption, makes its way out.
Unwanted, and unwilling this pocket of air,
Travels to the final barrier within.
A doorway, closed but for needed pressure.
And a violent, verbal and noisome eruption comes forth.
