First let the images say a little.

Now you might ask... "what is the whole point of this forum? "

    The answer is simple:

Dont just fill the custom weapon's skin store with crappy skins that are nothing but images downloaded from internet...

Instead try to learn the process of making skins first and then give a shot at making your own..

A lot of you (who fall into the first category) must be pissed seeing this forum topic.

But hey (LOL) why are you pissed the skins that you made are not yours..are they? those are only pictures downloaded from internet.

And if you are still feeling proud about your skin that has been made like instant noodles feel free to advertise here.

I will be there to call it crap right on your face.

Don't take me to be rude.. your credits for the skin is null (if it at all is a skin)

Remember process of making skins is same for every game and other 3d models.

For opening .obj files in blender: Goto- File > Import > Wavefront(.obj) For opening an image file in blender: Open image editor panel and select the folder button.

Good thing is that those simple image skins do not sell as much compared to well made skins, unless they cost 10 cash or Free (Which is still not much).

In next update I'm going to add a rating system so players will be able to rate purchased skins and push them up

Glad you put this up, RaMa! I was going to wait until I made my first skin then say something similar {though maybe not quite so politely}.

I went through some of those so-called skins and was shaking my head the whole time. I would be embarrassed to have them on any weapon of mine. Though I suppose there may be some here who have the simple-mindedness to like that sort of thing.

In addition to what RaMa said, another reason to take your time on a skin and do it right is that the weapons pretty much look like blobs when a single image is applied as a texture because their details are exactly the same as the rest. Actually LOOK at each weapon. You have the stock, casing {on some}, barrel, trigger/& guard, other doo-dads {on some}. Separate the different parts with different images, it's not really that difficult. Heck, for mine I'm using 3 {just discovered I needed 4} different images and taking my time to make sure it's going to look good.

If you want a blob then, by all means, use whatever goofy picture you come across. But don't bother claiming it's "yours" since you didn't do a bloody thing except upload a single image that you googled. MAYBE someone will take pity on you and get it, if you didn't try to 'sell' them for more than 100 cash or so.

Yeah, i was gonna say something bout it back then. It's kinda weird with just pictures on them. This is to you skin makers: put like a pattern or logo or something on it. Not random pictures of your favorite Tv characters or your cat. Ok? Make those skins something to remember!
